My Favorite Pair of Shoes

For the better part of my life I’ve compiled tennis shoes, everything from Jordan’s to Nike Air Max’s. I’ve consistently relished and chosen athletic shoes over elegant shoes, like from Fergie Shoes savings, as if my first sentence didn’t verify that.
One day went to purchase a new MAC compact and I went by the ladies shoe department and could not tear away from this one set of shoes. Let me tell you they were absolutely not Jordans and they were items that I would typically just not even give a glance to. They were a pair of bronze cork heels with some jewels on it…once again I am disclosing my lack of knowledge of heels. Well, I underwent the exact emotions as when I shop at a Foot Locker or look online at Sports Authority sales, I absolutely needed them! I gave them a test drive, let’s just say, even though I was 3 ½ inches taller, it was as if I was wearing a set of athletic shoes or even cheesier, I was walking on air. Of course, I spent the money and bought them. They were after all cost less than Jordans and I must say, they were too adorable!
Your typical shoe has a “break ‘em in” term, but these, oh these adorable shoes wore without a hitch. Also, it was probably the first time I have ever received a admiration on my shoes from a “lady”! Typically I hear from the men about my Jordans or set of athletic shoes, but not the girls. I must say, it was a nice change.
I still wear these elegant shoes, they are five years young and still wowing. When you treat your girlie shoes like Jordans, minus the basketball playing, by storing them in the box and clean them after every wear, you posses them much longer.
I always look forward to spring and summer when I can exhibit my Athena Alexanders. They still make me feel as if I am floating on air and the compliments continue to fly.
